With a very explosive energy IVE has officially reached their first ever stop in Asia for their IVE ‘The Prom Queens Tour’ which is Manila, Philippines! 

Prior to the D-Day of the Fan Concert, all 6 members of the girl-group IVE graced the press with their presence as they held their first ever press conference here in Manila, on which each member formally introduced themselves and answered a few questions; since this is their first time here in The Philippines as a group ever since their debut last December 2021, Wonyoung said they were very excited as since their arrival in the country she can definitely feel how warm and welcoming their Filipino fans are, Gaeul also spoke on behalf of the members that since this is their first time she is excited and nervous at the same time. 

They also discussed their very first studio album entitled ‘I’ve IVE’ on which Yujin stated that this album is so far their favorite one as all members of the group took part in the writing process – also the concept of this album really represents them which is self love. 

Prom Queens

As expected from the Manila crowd they did not disappoint at all, from the loud cheers to the fan chants they really delivered – as they say Manila crowd always slays and delivers.

They opened their Fan Concert with their song ‘After Like’ as a song that really gained a lot of attention to the K-Pop community by the achievements that the song has gained; it being the Fastest 4th Gen Female Group to Hits 1M Views and IVE’s highest First Day Album Sales. With how the PH Dive’s scream you can really say that they waited for that moment to come. This performance was then followed by  ‘Take It’, ‘My Satisfaction’, ‘Royal’ and, the first ever live performance of ‘Kitsch’ which really wowed the fans!

And now it’s time to introduce themselves as a group in which they said their short but sweet ments – going with Leeseo with her ‘Mahal Kita’ to Yujin’s ‘Kamusta?’ and to the cutest version of ‘Masaya ako’ by Wonyoung.

This was then followed by their unit stages beginning with Wonyoung and Rei with the cover of ‘Me too’, after that sweet yet powerful performance it was now time for a heartwarming and touching performance of ‘Flashlight’ by Yujin and Liz on which Yujin stated that this is a song that she also performed during her auditions and both of them agreed to perform as they really like the song message, and now going in for the last unit Leeseo and Gaeul which really shocked the fans by how impactful their performance of ‘Kill this Love’.

After these performances they get to rest a little by playing a couple of games such as ‘Guess the Song’ where they will guess the silhouette flashed on the screen – this game also gave them the opportunity to dance along to the songs of their sunbaenim such as ‘Into the new world’ by Girls Generation, ‘Rover’ by Kai, ‘Fighting’ by BSS and ‘Spicy’ by Aespa.

As we are reaching towards the end of the show the next set of songs they performed are ‘Blue Blood’, ‘Love Dive’, and ‘Eleven’ this set of performance was their last – but, of course the crown screams for encore – as they go back up the stage again for their encore on where they performed a rock version of ‘Love Dive’, ‘After Like’ and lastly ‘Not your girl’.

During the group photo the well prepared fan project was flashed through the screens which made each member emotional and with this they each gave their final ments; 

“I really appreciate the special video tonight and I will never forget this video. Thank you. And this is our first time in the Philippines today. We will never forget this. I really hope to come to see you soon so please stay tuned for us” Wonyoung, 

“I almost teared up due to the unexpected surprise. I’m really thankful and I can’t imagine how much Filipino Dives have waited for us to arrive here. Knowing how far away we are, we missed you that much. I know everyone waited for this day and for every Dive who has been cheering for us and motivated us, we are very thankful to each and everyone of you. Finally I have many more opportunities (reason) to go back here” Liz, 

“I’m very thankful that you guys gave us this wonderful surprise gift. It’s been so long since I felt this much excitement on stage. From the intro itself, I heard your cheers. you guys were so great reacting to our performances” Leeseo

“Today is actually our first day for our ‘Prom Queens’ Asia tour. And today’s performance was so hot. I’m not sure if this is because of the weather or the Dives. And I hope in the future, we get to see each other more. I hope we can see each other very soon. Mahal ko kayo.” Yujin

“Ever since we were in Korea, I waited for this day to come to the Philippines. Thank you so much for giving us warm greetings through the video and our hearts were also warmed because of this” Gaeul

“Every time I see the faces of the Dives, I get positive energy and so much love. And I’m very that we get to start this Asia tour here with six members all together. Thank you so much for waiting for IVE. I love you so much” Rei

As the show ends, you can really feel how much each and every member adores and love their fans, by how much they give each and every energy that they have to all the performance they did, to giving fan service, to genuinely thanking each and everyone for coming to their Fan Concert; you can really tell that they are passionate in what they do and they do it for the fans.

This Fan Concert was more fun with how amazing the crowd they had and of course for the fun fan projects from these respective fanbases – IVE Philippines, An Daeng Daeng PH, IVE Leeseo PH, IVE Liz Philippines, Gaeul Data, Wonyoung Global, and Forsunreis.
