Recognized as the Nation’s Band, DAY6 continues to reach new heights with the release of their latest album, Melt Down, and the announcement of their much-anticipated 3rd world tour, Forever Young.
This K-pop boy band continues to capture fans (and even non fans) hearts with the incredible music, but to those who don’t know Who is DAY6?
DAY6 is a South Korean pop-rock boy band formed in 2015 by one of the leading entertainment agencies, JYP Entertainment. Originally a six-member group, they are now actively promoting as a quartet. The members include Sungjin, the leader and main vocalist who also plays rhythm guitar; Young K, the bassist, rapper, and vocalist; Wonpil, who handles the keyboard and synthesizers who also contributes to the groups vocals; and Dowoon, the drummer.

Not like many K-pop boy groups that focus on high-powered performances and complicated dance styles, DAY6 focuses more on being ‘musicians’ with each member contributing to writing, composing, and producing their own music, which is usually led by Young K, who is also known as the group’s composer and producer. With their range, this allows them to mix genres that result in a wide discography filled with ballads, energetic rock, and introspective pieces that resonate deeply with their fans, also known as MyDays.

Discography and Global Impact
DAY6 has been praised for their emotional lyrics since their debut single, “Congratulations.” The song sets the tone for their careers by exploring grief, self-reflection, and healing. Their first full-length album, Sunrise (2017), established their identity as a pop-rock band by introducing their listeners to their extensive musical range. The Book of Us series (2019-2020) further cemented their reputation as talented storytellers by exploring themes such as relationships, existential questions, and the complex nature of love.
In 2017, DAY6 launched an ambitious project called “Every DAY6,” releasing a total of 12 songs, 1 for every month for a year. It showed their prolific personality as well as their consistent ability to develop musically while maintaining their signature sound. Tracks like “Shoot Me” and “Zombie” became hits worldwide and were praised for their vivid emotions and empathy.

Their music is often described as emotionally charged, reflective, and healing. Fans appreciate the band’s willingness to deal with daunting topics, such as mental health, personal growth, and social pressure. This deeper layer of engagement has helped DAY6 rise to prominence in the competitive K-pop industry and has allowed them to empathize with audiences around the world.
Current Release and World Tour
Last September 2, 2024, DAY6 recently made its comeback with their ninth mini album, ‘Band Aid’, making it the group’s first full album in about three years after the completion of the members mandatory military service, following its previous mini album, “Fourever.” The album consists a total of eight tracks, with the title track “Melt Down,” which holds a warm and healing message that emphasizes love and warmth in moments of despair—giving that love can melt life’s hardships. The album title “Band Aid” symbolizes the band’s identity and willingness to provide emotional comfort through music. Their album “Band Aid” has already topped various music charts in Korea, attracting a lot of attention as they achieved “all-kill.” and making a lot of their old releases back to the charts.
As part of their comeback, DAY6 is also ready to dominate the global stage once again by announcing their much awaited World Tour ‘Forever Young’ which travel to different countries around the world beginning with South Korea – this tour will also make its way to the Philippines, which makes Filipino MyDays excited!

DAY6 3RD WORLD TOUR <FOREVER YOUNG> in MANILA is happening on February 22, 2025 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
