HORI7ON is a 7 member global group that was formed through a talent survival search called ‘Dream Maker’ – Marcus, Kyler, Jeromy, Kim, Winston, Vinci, and Reyster was once one of the 62 ‘Dream Chasers’ and stood through the challenges to be part of HORI7ON. 

The moment that we stepped inside the venue, we were left speechless. I thought to myself that I have never seen a pre-debut group having this big fan-base and in Manila alone this fan meeting was SOLD OUT in less than a week! Seeing this made me realize that HORI7ON is really loved and on whatever circumstances their ANCHORS will be there for them to support them. 

When the boys went out of the stage, the crowd was already on the top of their lungs cheering for them – the first performance was take my hand which was initially performed by the 62 Dream Chasers, but nonetheless the energy of Marcus, Kyler, Jeromy, Kim, Winston, Vinci, and Reyster was never lacking. 

Then it’s finally time to greet their fans, from this moment you can really feel the connection between the artist and their fans, the collective mix of emotions as they began with their ments, starting with Vinci as he said “the fact na andito tayong lahat ngayon it means na maraming sumusuporta sa Hori7on” as the groups leader he also wished for his members to perform safely during the fanmeet to Kim saying his sincerest gratitude to everyone that attended their fanmeet and to those that they have met during the mall tours, and to Marcus saying that it’s kinda sad that “this will be our last stage here in the Philippines” as they are set to train and have their official debut in South Korea under the care of MLD Ent.

Moving on to the next performance ‘Dash’, this song gained much attention to music enthusiast and netizens, as a result this pre-debut song garnered 2.7M as of writing.  This performance was the first ever live performance from the group and it was honestly worth waiting, hearing how stable those vocals are is so satisfying along with the fanchats, We surely believe that this performance was surely meant to hype you up!

Next up, is game time! We had so much fun watching them as they do the infamous ‘Whisper Challenge’ the games were chosen by the fans so as much as the boys are enjoying the game, the fans are too – unfortunately for Kim, Kyler and Jeromy they lost to this game so they had to face the punishment of doing aegyo which doesn’t seem like a punishment to them, imho seems like the boys of Hori7on loves doing aegyo. The next challenge was ‘Drawing Challenge’ – one specific member caught the attention of the fans during this game (and ours too) and they were shouting “valedictorian namin yan!”, and that member is none other than Winston, he was so good at guessing Reyster’s drawings as if they are having telepathic communication. And once again,  Kim, Kyler and Jeromy lost, but not to worry, it seemed like they were having fun doing the punishments, this time they were asked to do 3 different hearts in which they slayed!

Now, it’s time to reveal the fandom name! From being a nameless fandom, having to be called by a lot of names to finally having their own name; ANCHOR. This holds a lot of meaning to Hori7on, but to give it briefly, Anchor symbolizes; protection, safety, hope and stability – and this is what they are to Hori7on.

The next set of performances was deemed to be the most awaited ones, when I say they set the stage on fire – hypothetically they did! ‘Odd Eye’ and ‘Tiger’ was surely a performance that builds you up on a certain level.

As these performances made the venue hotter like the summer sun, we next moved on to the next set of challenges were ‘Dash Challenge’ which was pretty popular on tiktok, plus 7 lucky fans got to dance with the members, moving to the next challenge which made us lift our phones up and hit the record button with no point in stopping, as they did the ‘Random Dance Challenge’ they danced to the songs of their sunbaenim such as ‘Sugar Rush’ by TXT, ‘Shooting Star’ by XG, ‘Rover’ by Kai, ‘Fever’ by Enhypen, ‘Fighting’ by BSS, ‘Growl’ by EXO and lastly the most popular talent survival show dance challenge ‘Aju Nice’ by Seventeen. You can clearly tell that Hori7on members are being trained well to different types of dance and these songs have different dance takes, and they all slayed it! 

As the show was about the end, the energy of the crowd did not tumble, not even once during the entire show, but as for this performance everyone was so calm – as they flash a video on the screen showing Hori7on’s journey while jamming to the song ‘Salamat’, as the song goes “alam mo ba salamat, dahil ikaw yon, Sobrang salamat dahil tayo to lahat, Nang masasayang mga panahon. At kaya hanggang sa huli, makal kita” we can really say that they deserve every bit of the fame and the love that they are getting. Hori7on really stood tall through every challenge that they have encountered to get to where they are now. 

And here comes their final ments, emotions are all over the place – fans are screaming their names and members trying to hold their tears while genuinely thanking their fans, asking them to keep supporting them as they move on to their next journey away from home, away from people that gives them comfort, away from the place that protects them. 

The thought of them leaving makes the fans proud and sad at the same time, knowing that this will be their first hello, but never the last goodbye. As Hori7on members Marcus, Kyler, Jeromy, Kim, Winston, Vinci, and Reyster take their next step onto their goal, Anchors are ready to be Hori7on’s protection, safety, hope and stability, that whatever storm or challenges Hori7on and Anchor’s will always have each other.

Hori7on is also part of the KAMP FEST CDMX 2023 which will happen on Aug 19-20 – this will be their first international stage, please support!
